Who is affected

All clients using SumSub for KYC (Know Your Client) and KYB (Know Your Business) verifications.

What is changing

Support for WebSDK 2.0 is being introduced for KYC and KYB flows. WebSDK 2.0 provides a redesigned interface and enhanced functionality, replacing the legacy SDK. To ensure compatibility and uninterrupted service, each verification level must be individually updated to use WebSDK 2.0.

Instructions

To enable WebSDK 2.0 for an applicant level:

1. Go to your SumSub dashboard.

2. Navigate to the following dashboard pages:

   1. Integrations → Applicant Levels → Individuals to edit KYC levels.

   2. Integrations → Applicant Levels → Companies to edit KYB levels.

3. Edit each level as follows:

   1. Toggle the Enable WebSDK 2.0 for this level option (as shown in step 5 of the official migration guide).

4. Save your changes.

You should see a confirmation note under the WebSDK 2.0 section once the new version is active.

Consequences

Failing to complete this migration before June 1, 2025 may result in verification flow failures and service disruptions. The current integration may stop working after the cutoff date.
